Hindu Matters In Britain - For British Hindus

What is HMB Watch?

Hindu Matters in Britain Watch is a communication channel between the Hindu community and their Members of Parliament and other public officials.

HMB highlights and researches key topics that are relevant to the British Hindu community and offers avenues for people to engage with their MPs and public officials in order to make sure that the British Hindu community is heard and their views are taken into account at policy and strategic level.

The Hindu votes swung heavily towards the Conservative Party in the 2019 General Election. Within a decade the pendulum has swung from Hindus voting for the Labour Party to primarily to the Conservative Party. Hindus are beginning to be proactive and giving a clear mandate to politicians to look after their interests.

The UK now has around 1.1 million Hindus which is just over 1.5% of the total population. In the 2019 General Election, there were at least 60 marginal seats where the Hindu vote had a direct bearing on the outcome. So being proactive is critical if the Hindu voice is to be heard at the local, regional and national level.
